IN RELATION TO PUFFED RICE:
Puffed rice is made by heating rice kernels under pressure. It is low in fat and very low in sodium and being gluten free it makes a great alternative to wheat based cereals.

Quinoa not only has a high protein level (12-15%) but contains all the essential amino acids including Lysine which is deficient in many grain crops. Lysine aids with tissue growth and repair.

Quinoa has a high ratio of protein to carbohydrate – the germ makes up approx. 60% of the grain compared to wheat where the germ makes up less than 3% of a wheat kernel. The high protein level helps retain satiety.

Research has found that products made with quinoa contained more antioxidants compared to typical gluten free products made with rice, potato or corn flour.
