How to cook ‘Really Good’ Chicken Burgers

Always cook burgers from room temperature, never from frozen.

Whichever way you choose to cook these delicious burgers, the general rule is to resist ‘flipping them too early! These specialist chicken burgers will hold their own providing this simple guideline is followed!

Before flipping, each side needs to have a golden brown colouration to it – this should take around 5 minutes per side, so don’t hurry, it’s well worth the wait!

Once both sides are golden brown just flip them frequently for a further 5-8 minutes just like any regular burger, don’t worry about them drying out as all the juiciness and flavours will already be locked up inside!

 

Pan / Griddle pan frying
Pan frying is another great way to cook our chicken burgers. Just make sure the pan is hot before placing them in the pan. To pan fry, add a little oil and place on a medium heat for 2-3 minutes then put the burgers in the pan and cook for around 5 minutes each side. Once sealed, turn regularly for a further 5-8 minutes.

 

Grilling
To grill the burgers place under a medium grill on a flat plate, not a bar grill, for 12-15 minutes, turning regularly.

 

BBQ
We’ve saved the best till last! Cook over natural coals on a BBQ. Once the coals are glowing nicely, but not too hot, place the burgers on a BBQ plate, not BBQ bars, Each side needs to have a golden brown colouration to it before flipping – this should take around 5 minutes per side. Once both sides are a golden brown just flip them frequently for a further 5-8 minutes.
